Proration Explained

Proration = Fair charging for partial months

Example 1: Upgrading Mid-Month

You're on Free plan. On January 15, you upgrade to Starter (₦25,000/month).

  • January has 31 days
  • You used 15 days already
  • 16 days remaining = 16/31 of month
  • You pay: ₦25,000 × (16/31) = ₦12,903
  • Next month (Feb 15): Full ₦25,000

Example 2: Upgrading From Starter to Professional

You're on Starter (₦25k). On January 15, you upgrade to Professional (₦50k).

  • Already paid ₦25,000 for January
  • 16 days remaining in month
  • Difference: ₦50k - ₦25k = ₦25k
  • You pay: ₦25,000 × (16/31) = ₦12,903
  • Next month: Full ₦50,000
