Understanding Revenue Reports

Track your hotel's financial performance with InnGO's comprehensive revenue reports. Make data-driven decisions to grow your business.

Accessing Revenue Reports

  1. Log in to InnGO dashboard
  2. Click Reports in left menu
  3. Select Revenue Reports
  4. Choose date range
  5. View detailed breakdown
๐Ÿ“ Note: Advanced reports available on Starter and Professional plans. Free plan has basic reports only.

Types of Revenue Reports

1. Total Revenue Summary

Overview of all income sources:

  • Room revenue
  • Restaurant revenue (if enabled)
  • Additional services
  • Total combined revenue

2. Revenue by Date

Daily breakdown showing:

  • Revenue for each day in selected period
  • Comparison to previous period
  • Peak revenue days highlighted
  • Average daily revenue

3. Revenue by Room Type

See which rooms earn most:

  • Standard rooms
  • Deluxe rooms
  • Suites
  • Any custom room types
Example Report:
  • Standard Rooms: โ‚ฆ450,000 (45% of revenue)
  • Deluxe Rooms: โ‚ฆ350,000 (35%)
  • Suites: โ‚ฆ200,000 (20%)

Insight: Standard rooms drive most revenue. Consider adding more standard rooms!

4. Revenue by Payment Method

How guests paid:

  • Cash payments
  • Bank transfers
  • POS card payments
  • Online payments (Paystack)

5. Revenue by Staff Member

Track which staff processed bookings:

  • Receptionist performance
  • Bookings per staff member
  • Revenue generated by each
  • Useful for commission calculations

Date Range Options

Pre-set Ranges

  • Today: Current day only
  • Yesterday: Previous day
  • This Week: Monday to today
  • Last Week: Previous full week
  • This Month: 1st to today
  • Last Month: Previous full month
  • This Year: January 1 to today

Custom Date Range

  1. Click "Custom Range"
  2. Select start date
  3. Select end date
  4. Apply to generate report

Understanding Report Metrics

Gross Revenue

Total money received from all sources before any deductions.

Net Revenue

Revenue after deducting discounts, refunds, and cancellations.

Average Daily Rate (ADR)

Formula: Total Room Revenue รท Number of Rooms Sold

Example: โ‚ฆ500,000 revenue from 50 rooms = โ‚ฆ10,000 ADR

What it means: Average price per room booked

Revenue Per Available Room (RevPAR)

Formula: Total Room Revenue รท Total Available Rooms

Example: โ‚ฆ500,000 revenue, 100 available room-nights = โ‚ฆ5,000 RevPAR

What it means: How effectively you're monetizing all rooms

๐Ÿ’ก Industry Standard: Higher RevPAR = Better performance. Increase it by raising prices OR occupancy rate.

Comparing Periods

Month-over-Month Comparison

  1. Select "This Month"
  2. Enable "Compare to Previous Period"
  3. See percentage increase/decrease
Example:
  • This Month: โ‚ฆ2,500,000
  • Last Month: โ‚ฆ2,000,000
  • Change: +โ‚ฆ500,000 (+25%)
  • Trend: โ†‘ Growing revenue!

Year-over-Year Comparison

Compare current month to same month last year:

  • Account for seasonal patterns
  • More accurate growth measurement
  • Identify long-term trends

Revenue Breakdown by Category

Room Revenue Sources

  • Room charges (primary)
  • Extra person charges
  • Late checkout fees
  • Early checkin fees

Restaurant Revenue (if enabled)

  • Food orders
  • Drink orders
  • Room service charges

Additional Services

  • Laundry

  2. Choose format:
    • PDF - For printing/sharing
