Setting Up Room Pricing

Understanding Pricing Structure

InnGO uses a flexible two-tier pricing system:

  • Room Type Base Price: Default price for all rooms of that type
  • Individual Room Price: Can override the base price for specific rooms

Setting Base Price for Room Types

Step 1: Go to Rooms tab → Room Types
Step 2: When creating or editing a room type, enter the Base Price
Step 3: Enter amount in your selected currency (₦, $, £, €)

This price automatically applies to all rooms of this type.

Custom Pricing for Individual Rooms

Want different prices for specific rooms? Here's how:

Step 1: Go to Rooms tab → Rooms subtab
Step 2: Click Edit on the room you want to customize
Step 3: Change the price field to your custom amount
Step 4: Click Update Room
💡 Use Case: Charge more for corner rooms with better views, or less for rooms near elevators/noisy areas.

Recommended Pricing for Nigerian Hotels

Budget Hotels (1-2 Star)

  • Standard Room: ₦5,000 - ₦8,000/night
  • Deluxe Room: ₦10,000 - ₦12,000/night

Mid-Range Hotels (3 Star)

  • Standard Room: ₦12,000 - ₦18,000/night
  • Deluxe Room: ₦20,000 - ₦30,000/night
  • Suite: ₦35,000 - ₦50,000/night

Upscale Hotels (4-5 Star)

  • Standard Room: ₦25,000 - ₦40,000/night
  • Executive Room: ₦50,000 - ₦80,000/night
  • Suite: ₦100,000+/night

Dynamic Pricing Strategies

Weekday vs Weekend Pricing

Manually adjust prices:

  • Lower weekday rates (Monday-Thursday)
  • Higher weekend rates (Friday-Sunday)
  • Update prices each week or season

Seasonal Pricing

Adjust for high-demand periods:

  • High Season: December, Easter, Public Holidays - increase 30-50%
  • Low Season: January-February - decrease 10-20%
  • Events: Conferences, concerts nearby - increase prices

Long-Stay Discounts

Offer discounts for extended stays:

  • 7+ nights: 10% discount
  • 14+ nights: 15% discount
  • 30+ nights: 20% discount

Calculate manually and apply custom price when booking.

Currency Considerations

Your prices are stored in your selected currency. When you change currency in settings:

  • Existing bookings remain in original currency
  • New bookings use the new currency
  • You must manually update all room prices
⚠️ Important: Choose your currency carefully before setting prices. Currency changes require updating all prices manually.

Best Practices

  • ✓ Research competitor prices in your area
  • ✓ Include all amenities in the price (WiFi, breakfast, AC)
  • ✓ Review and adjust prices quarterly
  • ✓ Offer corporate rates for business clients
  • ✓ Keep prices competitive but profitable
